  • Medium: 14.5" length
  • Large: 17.5" length

Your dog’s back length is the most important measurement to compare to the carrier length. Dogs should be able to sit, stand, and lie down comfortably inside the tote.

For long-bodied breeds like dachshunds (especially full-grown tweenies and standards), we usually recommend sizing up to allow extra length and a more relaxed resting position.

From a carrying perspective, size Medium has a slightly smaller profile and lighter feel, which some customers—especially those who are more petite—may find more comfortable for shorter outings. The Large offers additional interior space and is ideal when extra length or room is needed.

Yes. The DjangoTote™ includes an adjustable, removable safety tether that attaches to your dog’s harness to help keep them securely in place while on the go. We recommend always attaching the tether when your dog is inside the bag.

Because this dog carrier purse features an open scoop design that allows dogs to sit comfortably and peek out, it’s important to note that dogs who are new to this style of carrier may initially try to jump out. The sherpa-lined footpad sleeve is removable and machine washable. We recommend washing on cold with mild detergent and air drying.

No. All airlines require pets to be fully enclosed in their travel carriers at all times while flying. The DjangoTote™ features an open front scoop design that allows your dog to sit comfortably and enjoy views from above. This feature does not meet airline under-seat carrier requirements.
