Size	Chest Girth	Coat Length	Approx. Weight *
X-Small	11 to 14.5 in (28 to 37 cm)	10 in (25 cm)	5 to 8 lbs
Small	14.5 to 17 in (37 to 43 cm)	12.5 in (32 cm)	9 to 13 lbs

Large	21 to 25 in (53 to 64 cm)	16.5 in (42 cm)	20 to 30 lbs

Two looks. One warm, lightweight winter coat.

The DJANGO Reversible Puffer Dog Coat gives your dog two cold-weather styles in one comfortable jacket: a durable, water-repellent nylon puffer on one side and a cozy plaid design on the reverse. Simply flip the coat for a completely different look.

Lightweight insulation provides warmth without bulky or restrictive padding, while the windproof construction helps protect your dog on chilly autumn and winter walks. For snow, slush, and light rain, wear the water-repellent nylon side facing outward for added weather protection.

A built-in leash portal makes it easy to connect a leash to a harness worn underneath. Oversized armholes allow comfortable, natural movement, while adjustable hem toggles help create a secure fit around your dog's body.

Available in sizes XS–L for small and medium dogs approximately 5–30 lbs, the Reversible Puffer is machine washable and designed for everyday winter walks, travel, cold-weather outings, and snowy adventures.

RETURNS

U.S. Returns

Our priority is that you love your DJANGO products and that they work pawfectly for you and your dog. If you need to return an item for any reason, you may initiate a return within 30 days of delivery through our Exchanges & Returns Portal.

Can my dog try on an item?

We encourage you to try items on your dog at home. However, returned items must be in new, unaltered, and unwashed condition and free of dog hair. A lint roller works well for removing any hair from a brief fitting.

Is there a return cost?

Yes. For U.S. orders, the only cost associated with a return is the return shipping fee, which is based primarily on the package’s size and weight.

For smaller items, such as harnesses, collars, and leashes, the return shipping fee is typically $7–$9. For larger items, including the DjangoPack™ Dog Carrier Backpack and DjangoTote™ Dog Carrier Bag, return shipping generally costs $12–$16 because of the package’s greater size and weight.

The return shipping fee is deducted from your refund once the return has been processed. We do our best to keep return costs as low as possible and are always happy to help with any questions.

Where a prepaid label is unavailable, customers will need to arrange and pay for return shipping independently.

Once your return is received and processed, we’ll issue your refund.

Cozy Warmth for Winter Weather

Insulated Warmth

A hidden layer of lightweight insulation helps trap your dog’s natural body heat, adding comfortable warmth for brisk autumn mornings, chilly evening walks, and snowy winter outings.

Unlike a thick, bulky parka, the DJANGO Reversible Puffer Dog Coat is intentionally lightweight and easy to move in. It keeps your pup warm without weighing them down, making it an easy everyday layer for walks, travel, and winter adventures.

Water-Repellent, Windproof, & Built for Cold

Durable Nylon with DWR Protection

The puffer side is made from durable 100% nylon and finished with a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating to help shed snow, slush, moisture, and light rain during everyday cold-weather adventures.

Wear the nylon side outward when the weather turns wet, windy, or messy. The weather-resistant shell helps protect against the elements while the lightweight insulation underneath helps retain comfortable warmth. For prolonged or heavy rain, we recommend switching to a dedicated waterproof dog raincoat.

Add a Hoodie on Colder Days

Lightweight Warmth That’s Easy to Layer

The Reversible Puffer is intentionally lightweight, making it easy to adjust your dog’s warmth as the weather changes. For especially cold days, layer it over a cozy dog hoodie for extra insulation without the heavy, bulky feel of a thick winter parka.

Its roomy, sleeveless design helps keep layering comfortable while still giving your dog plenty of freedom to move.

Reversible Puffer Dog Coat FAQs

Can my dog wear a harness underneath this DJANGO puffer dog coat?

Yes—absolutely! All DJANGO dog coats are designed to pair perfectly with DJANGO dog harnesses. Each Reversible Puffer Dog Coat features a spacious, no-leak harness hole for easy access to your dog’s harness.

When selecting your pup’s size, just keep in mind that wearing a harness underneath may affect the fit. For the best results, measure carefully and review our size guide to ensure your dog’s coat with harness hole fits comfortably.

Is the Reversible Puffer Dog Coat waterproof?

The Reversible Puffer is water-repellent rather than fully waterproof. Its durable nylon outer shell helps shed snow, slush and light rain while providing wind-resistant cold-weather protection. For prolonged or heavy rain, we recommend a dedicated dog raincoat.

Will the Reversible Puffer Dog Coat fit my small or medium dog that isn’t a dachshund?

Yes! While our best selling insulated puffer coats are loved by dachshund parents for their longer length and adjustable fit, they are also a favorite for many small and medium breeds up to 30 lbs—including Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Boston Terriers, Pugs, Mini Poodles, French Bulldogs, Cavapoos and Cockapoos, Cocker Spaniels, Mini Schnauzers, Yorkies, and more.

The most important measurements to get right for this fan-favorite dog coat are chest girth and length (neck to base of tail). If your dog's chest measurement falls within the Reversible Puffer Dog Coat's size chart range, and your dog's length is within 2-3" of coat length, the Reversible Puffer will be a fantastic winter coat for your pup!

How do I wash and care for my Reversible Puffer Dog Coat?

This insulated winter dog coat is machine washable for easy care. We recommend washing your DJANGO coat using a cold, gentle cycle and hanging it to dry—this will help to maintain the coat’s beautiful quality and fit over time. We love hearing customers tell us their DJANGO puffer coats look like new years after use!

All DJANGO dog apparel and dog accessory products are designed to last season after season. This puffer dog vest is a great choice for pet parents who need a low-maintenance and durable dog jacket that will last.

What size should I get for my dog? Do you offer exchanges?

We know how important it is to get sizing right the first time. The Reversible Puffer Dog Coat comes in four sizes—XS to L— and is sized based on your dog’s chest girth (most important metric) and length (neck to base of tail). Be sure to measure your pup before ordering, then check our Size Chart and real dog breed size examples for reference.

Is your dog in between sizes? Difficult to measure? We’re here to help! Email us at hello@djangobrand.com, and we'll do everything we can to help you select the best size.

👉 First-time customer tip: Order two sizes and request a free prepaid return label in the comment box at checkout. Once you return the coat that doesn’t fit, we’ll issue a full refund—simple and stress-free.

We also gladly offer free exchanges on all U.S. orders within 30 days of delivery, so you can shop with confidence knowing you’ll find the pawfect fit.
